MetalSite University now brings the platform’s practical guides into a self-directed learning path. Choose the lessons that match your role and use your own material requirement as an exercise.
1. Understand the material
Read Buying metal starts with the specification and use the glossary for unfamiliar terms. Exercise: turn a material name into a requirement with a grade, form, dimensions and quantity.
2. Buy with a clear brief
Follow Buyer Connection and the RFQ guide. Exercise: write a request with a response deadline and a separate delivery date.
3. Sell with enough detail
Follow Seller Connection. Exercise: describe a lot so a buyer can identify the grade, quantity, condition, location and evidence available.
4. Check weight and commercial terms
Use the units guide, the weight calculator and delivery terms. Exercise: compare two quotations using one unit and one delivery basis.
5. Prepare for acceptance
Read inspection and traceability. Write down who checks the material, what documents are required and how discrepancies will be handled.
The old in-person class calendar, course numbers, staff contacts and certificates belong to the historical archive. No scheduled classes or completion certificates are offered by this learning path.
